Ash and slag are expected to be generated from the use of coal in the Industrial Complex’s energy supply system and consist of two main components:
Fly ash consists of fine particles carried with the flue gas and captured by the dust collection system.
Bottom ash consists of coarser material collected at the bottom of the furnace.
Based on the results of analysis and quality assessment, ash and slag may be considered for beneficial reuse as raw materials or additives in the production of cement, concrete, non-fired building materials, and for certain suitable land-filling applications. Their recovery, transportation, and use must comply with applicable laws, technical requirements, and environmental protection regulations.
