Overview

VPG Lao-Viet Sole Company Limited (VLV) is implementing the Dakcheung Bauxite–Alumina Industrial Complex Project, with the objective of developing an integrated production chain from bauxite mining and beneficiation through alumina production.

Integrated Production Chain
The Project is being developed by integrating bauxite mining, beneficiation and alumina processing with the associated infrastructure and auxiliary facilities.

Foundation for Operations
Alongside construction and investment activities, VLV is progressively preparing the management systems, human resources and technical conditions required for the future operation of the Industrial Complex.

Efficiency & Sustainability
Technology selection and project implementation are guided by the objectives of efficient resource utilization, quality control, safety assurance and minimization of environmental impacts.

Production Process

The production process is designed as an integrated chain from bauxite mining through alumina production:

Bauxite Mining
Mining activities are planned in accordance with geological and topographical conditions, as well as applicable safety and environmental requirements.

Bauxite Beneficiation & Ore Preparation
Part of the impurities are removed to improve and stabilize ore quality before further processing.

Alumina Production
Beneficiated bauxite is processed through the Bayer process, including digestion, precipitation and calcination, to produce alumina.

Waste Management & Water Recycling
Emphasis is placed on water recovery and reuse, together with the management of waste streams in accordance with technical and environmental requirements.

Core Technologies

The Project’s technological solutions are studied and selected based on ore characteristics, product quality requirements, and actual implementation conditions.

Beneficiation & Feed Preparation
Control the quality of incoming bauxite ore to support the alumina production process.

Bayer Process
Apply the Bayer process to beneficiated bauxite for alumina production.

Precipitation & Hydrate Calcination
Control aluminium hydroxide precipitation and calcination to produce alumina in accordance with product quality requirements.

Automation & Process Control
Gradually implement monitoring, control, and data acquisition systems to support effective management of the production process.
