Alumina (Al₂O₃), also known as aluminium oxide, is the main product planned for the Dakcheung Bauxite–Alumina Industrial Complex Project.
Beneficiated bauxite is processed through digestion, precipitation, and calcination stages under the Bayer process to produce alumina. Product quality is intended to be controlled in line with technological requirements and market needs.
Alumina is primarily used as feedstock for the electrolytic production of aluminium metal. Depending on its properties and quality, alumina may also be used in a range of other industrial applications.
